The Senior Maintenance Technician undertakes reactive and planned engineering maintenance and improvement work at a Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC), maintaining mechanical handling equipment such as conveyor networks, lifts, cranes, and belts. The position responds to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, identifies faults, analyzes issues, and completes repairs promptly to minimize operational downtime. It maintains accurate work and parts records, supports operational priorities and KPIs, and coordinates planned maintenance and labor with customer operations and support teams. The role also provides maintenance prioritization and mentoring for assigned Maintenance Engineers; performs assembly and sub-assembly repairs using written work instructions, blueprints, and schematics; and works with other departments to improve equipment reliability and resolve breakdowns. The position participates in meetings and projects, analyzes data to improve equipment performance, supports engineering installation and commissioning, and completes quality inspections to ensure safe work. Other reasonable duties may be assigned. The first six to nine weeks involve training and will most likely require travel to another site in North America. During a facility’s initial startup, duties may differ to support the facility’s needs; after commissioning, the responsibilities described above become the regular duties. The operation runs 24/7, and the position requires a shift pattern that includes nights and weekends.
