About The Position

Performs one of a variety of skilled, unlicensed maintenance trades, including but not limited to painters, masons, and carpenters. Maintains mechanical equipment and building infrastructure to ensure safety and uninterrupted facility operations. Uses central building insight system to track facility needs and ensure safe operations. Works under the direction of a Facilities Systems Supervisor. This position is considered essential personnel in certain emergencies and may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, including staying late or coming in early. The stated salary is effective July 13, 2026.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • Four (4) years of related work experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for meeting minimum qualifications
  • Knowledge of in one or more of the following areas: Masonry, Painting, Carpentry, Machinery, HVAC systems
  • Skill in: Verbal and written communication, Maintenance and repair, Systems maintenance, Use of hand and power tools, Paint application and other finishes
  • Ability to: Maintain accurate records, Use measurement devices, Climb and work from scaffolds and ladders

Responsibilities

  • Maintains courthouse building and grounds.
  • Contributes to the efforts of maintaining a clean facility.
  • Provides preventative maintenance to equipment, machinery and tools.
  • Performs painting, patching and general building repairs.
  • Repairs, installs and tests multiple systems and equipment.
  • Maintains heating, ventilation and cooling equipment.
  • Initiates request for various parts and equipment as necessary.
  • Schedules and escorts contractors.
  • Fills out daily lock out/tag out log.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Ability to travel to court locations as necessary.
