About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor / Planner for its Aurora, Illinois facility. This role combines direct supervision of maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts with the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities within the 845 Slurry production area. The goal is to ensure efficient maintenance operations by having the right people, parts, and plans in place, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The position reports to the Sr. Maintenance Manager and operates within a facility that runs three shifts, five days a week. The Senior Supervisor / Planner will also act as backup to the Senior Maintenance Manager during their absence.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or specialty materials industry.
Strong proficiency in maintenance management systems, specifically SAP-PM and Ariba.
Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, including work order management, job plan development, and backlog management.
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with maintenance KPI reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond to off-shift operational needs.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing context.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
Experience with Reliance ETQ.
Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
Hire, onboard, and train new maintenance technicians, managing payroll, punch times, and time-off requests.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to the maintenance team, driving goal setting, performance feedback, and development planning.
Serve as backup to the Maintenance Manager during PTO, taking responsibility for broader maintenance operations and team leadership.
Develop and publish a weekly and monthly maintenance schedule for preventive maintenance (PM), corrective work orders, and project activities.
Manage the work order backlog, including review, prioritization, assignment, and monitoring for timely completion.
Coordinate parts kitting and pre-staging to ensure all necessary materials, tools, and documentation are ready before maintenance windows.
Coordinate required downtime with production, operations, and quality teams to minimize impact on output.
Utilize SAP-PM, Parsable, and Reliance ETQ to manage the preventive maintenance structure and programs for production equipment.
Own maintenance performance results measured by KPIs such as PM completion rate, OEE, spare parts inventory, and budget control.
Use Ariba to purchase parts and services, and manage external contractor relationships.
Drive continuous improvement projects in maintenance related to safety, 5S, ergonomics, sustainability, and process efficiency.
Adhere to and enforce all Entegris and site EH&S guidelines, policies, procedures, and permitting requirements.
Maintain strong housekeeping standards and a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with ISO and quality standards.
Support or lead EHS teams and safety improvement initiatives.
