About The Position

You will be responsible for maintenance work, developing detailed job plans, and determining the right parts, materials, crafts, and skills needed to get the job done.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer skills, Internet and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Food Manufacturing background.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ammonia refrigeration background a plus.
  • Experience in the supervision of day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance, strongly preferred.
  • Project management software experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the CMMS system, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan maintenance while ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA).
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, prioritize work orders, and ensure materials/tools are available.
  • Review and update completed work orders and machinery history in the CMMS system.
  • Generate reports on work progress, schedules, and personnel vacation. Produce weekly maintenance schedules and forecast workforce needs.
  • Manage MRO inventory, including stocking, parts disbursements, returns, and audits.
  • Train maintenance personnel on reporting procedures and using CMMS software.
  • Assist in contractor qualifications and performance management.
  • Train department personnel in PSM program elements.
  • Assist with annual program goals, provide reports, and ensure documentation is available for audits. Maintain compliance documentation for PSM and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to employees in the Maintenance Department.
