About The Position

This job posting is for the Senior Maintenance Planner (stream 2) position. Stream 1: Senior Maintenance Analyst You act as the Team Lead for the Transit Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Analyst team. You strategically assess workforce practices to ensure that they are consistent with industry best practices, and comply with corporate guidelines as well as legislative requirements. You also identify opportunities for operational improvement, provides advice to management to ensure best practices are followed to maximize return on investment, and develop and maintain supplier and business relationships. Stream 2: Senior Maintenance Planner You act as the Team Lead for the Transit Fleet Maintenance Planning team. You provide strategic leadership across day and evening shifts to ensure consistent, efficient, and system-wide execution of bus maintenance planning. You coordinate closely with garage planners to manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, optimize resource and workforce allocation, and maintain operational continuity. You lead the development and implementation of standardized maintenance practices across all garage facilities, promote continuous improvement initiatives, and leverage maintenance data to identify trends, enhance planning accuracy, and contribute to the design of an integrated, long-term fleet maintenance strategy.

Requirements

  • Completion of 4 year university degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and workforce optimization, preferably in an operational environment.
  • Knowledge of economic and statistical analysis and research techniques.
  • Knowledge of business process analysis, ability to develop, coordinate and implement new processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics and their implications on cost, quality and risk.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.
  • Knowledge of financial management, cost accounting and statistical analysis including year-end analysis, GL reconciliations, data analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, M5 and other corporate software applications.
  • Knowledge of auditing and compliance review processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of internal control systems, evaluation and techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
