About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer (IBM z/OS) for a role in Columbia, SC (strongly preferred); State College, PA; or Dallas, TX. Also open to fully remote candidates nationwide. Requirements

9 years of related IT experience
2 years in corporate planning or strategic development (can be concurrent)
Strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration
Experience with Coding SMS Client routines
Experience with ISMF to translate, validate, and activate client routines, define and maintain SMS constructs
Experience with HSM configuration and administration
Experience with Monitoring SMS storage group utilization
Experience with RMM configuration and administration

Responsibilities

Provide architectural guidance while also supporting day-to-day operational activities
Monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment
Work closely with storage vendors on support, implementations, and enhancements
Participate in product upgrades, configuration changes, and break/fix activities
Support disaster recovery planning and testing
Utilize ServiceNow for incident and change management processes
Provide technical leadership and guidance on storage strategy and best practices
Participate in an on-call rotation
