About The Position

As a Senior Machinist, you will use mills, lathes, mill-turns, Swiss machines, and other equipment to produce close-tolerance parts for medical products. The role focuses on setting up and operating a variety of production machinery to manufacture precision medical-device parts, with emphasis on verifying and validating new production setups and first-piece runs.

Requirements

• Meet two of the following: have 2–4 years of experience operating advanced CNC production equipment (such as Swiss, lathe, or mill machines with live tooling); successfully complete the Principal Machinist Assessment; or be currently employed as a CONMED CNC Senior Machinist.
• Ability to produce parts at maximum rates with zero defects.
• Ability to optimize processes through continuous improvement efforts.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret G and M codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up advanced CNC machinery and operate advanced multi-axis CNC equipment, tools, and accessories to fabricate and cut materials for component parts.
• Maintain close-tolerance dimensions while producing parts at established operation rates.
• Verify and validate new setup programs for new products or pre-production parts.
• Perform in-process and first-piece inspections.
• Adjust offsets on multi-axis equipment to ensure products conform to strict tolerances.
• Provide training and technical guidance to less experienced employees.
