This role is responsible for ensuring safe, quality production by following established work instructions and company procedures. The Senior Machinist will set up and operate various computerized equipment, including CNC machines, mills, lathes, and drills, with limited supervision. They will be responsible for routine machinery maintenance, visual inspection of parts, and maintaining inventory records. The position requires a strong understanding of production flow and its impact on plant metrics, as well as the ability to detect and correct equipment malfunctions and non-conforming parts. Proficiency in blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and precise measurement using various instruments is essential. The role also involves communication with other departments, adherence to safety procedures, maintaining a clean work environment, and leading training activities for new hires and cross-training.
