About The Position

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Senior Machine Operator to join their team. This role involves leading a small team on a production line, operating and interacting with packaging equipment. The position requires coordinating production schedules, generating process orders, and completing necessary paperwork. Requirements

• HS diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in industrial manufacturing
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude
• Previous experience communicating with and leading small teams
• Ability to coach employees and drive teams for results
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer high speed manufacturing such as consumer products or food and beverage.
• SAP/WMS experience

Responsibilities

• Operate with a safety-first mindset while leading your team
• Follow all SOPs
• Coordinate weekly Gemba meetings and communicate priorities with management
• Process paperwork in SAP and on production schedule
• Ensure all quality standards are met (checking first piece on inbound packaging components, some in process testing of materials, and communication with lab team)
• Operate equipment up to efficiency standards (depalletizes, case conveyers, case packers, fillers, carton erecters, palletizers, wrappers, etc.)
• Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and or PITs
• Maintain 5S standards (continuous cleaning of area while plant is operating)
• Coordinate shift hand offs
• Communication with maintenance team
• Maintain cross training on multiple pieces of equipment
• Remaining up to date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainings
• Manual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouch/bags and cleaning of equipment
• Employees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards that will include control of hazardous energy, LOTO, and fortress keys
• Employees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs which include but are not limited to PPE, ergonomics, PIT, and safety/environmental programs
