Roche's Research and Early Development organisations at Genentech (gRED) and Pharma (pRED) are leveraging advances in AI, data, and computational sciences to transform drug discovery and development. The new Computational Sciences Center of Excellence (CoE) is a strategic, unified group aiming to harness the power of data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist scientists in both pRED and gRED. Within the CoE, the Data and Digital Catalyst (DDC) organisation drives the modernization of computational and data ecosystems and integrates digital technologies across Research and Early Development. The Engineering - AI Enablement group within DDC is responsible for enabling AI across research organizations by providing employees with the tools and support to adopt AI, building and deploying AI-based solutions to reshape business processes, scaling model training and inference, evaluating AI/ML model quality, and building impactful applications. The team is cross-functional, impact-driven, independent, and constantly evolving to meet scientific needs, with the goal of making AI/ML an everyday utility.
