About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Systems Team Leader / Engineer with deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse control systems (WCS), and various distribution automation equipment and systems (Pick by Light, Voice Pick, Pick by Light, Pick Carts, AMRs and AGVs, etc, to lead a team and support and enhance our distribution and warehouse operations. This role will play a key part in the ongoing configuration, integration, and optimization of Distribution Systems in cloud and on prem solutions. You’ll lead a team while collaborating closely with external cross-functional teams to meet their customer, project, integration, and regulatory requirements. You will design and drive systems changes with vendors and process changes in the Distribution Center Operations. You will partner with external functions (Transportation, Customer Service, QA, PMO, Digital) to understand requirements, design changes and commit to deadlines while designing and delivering the changes through the vendors and Operational teams. You will partner with DC leadership to deliver master plans and lower cost while partnering with the Opex managers and process engineers by designing and delivering systemic improvement changes. You will ensure safety and system stability, while following good project management practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in WMS support/analysis.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse processes (receiving, put away, picking, shipping, inventory control).
  • Solid understanding of Coty Core Model processes, from manufacturing to QA release strategies to global label standards and uses to goods issues in SAP to EDI transmission to customers
  • Experience with cloud-based and WMS environments and continuous release cycles.
  • Experience with On-prem WMS environments and upgrade processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with integration points between WMS and ERP/WCS/LMS systems.
  • Ability to manage and develop people and set priorities
  • Personal flexibility to work project implementations off shift and weekends as needed
  • Provide 24x7 on call critical systems support with team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and foresee potential issues and escalate promptly
  • Project Management skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years specifically working with Manhattan Active WMS.
  • 2+ years specifically working with Kisoft Knapp WMS
  • Familiarity with WMS integration messaging, message queues, and integration practices.
  • Strong query, excel, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in high-volume, automated DC environments (e.g., automation, picking systems, robotics, conveyor systems).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Knapp and Manhattan Active WMS, providing hands-on configuration, support, and optimization.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Knapp and IAS WCS
  • Act as subject matter expert on Riverside and Sanford Operational processes
  • Interact routinely with external functions (listed above) to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Lead the analysis and implementation of new features, modules, and system enhancements.
  • Support the full lifecycle of WMS projects: requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with operations, IT, and external partners to ensure seamless WMS integration with SAP/ERP, Parcel, labor management, Pick By Light, Voice Pick, Aframe and automation systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis and coordinate resolutions with WMS vendors, external functions, leadership, and Operational teams.
  • Analyze and optimize warehouse workflows and system processes to improve efficiency, & throughput.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and regression testing.
  • Analyse system data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, functional documentation, process flows, and user guides.
  • Provide training and support to end users, super users, and operational leadership.
  • Monitor KPIs and system performance to recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on Manhattan Active WMS roadmap and Knapp Kisoft new release features.
  • Maintain Responsibility for Data Integrity and reporting of KPI’s for the department.
  • Develop Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis, including use of Fishbone and Why-Why tools.
  • Creatively brainstorm and analyze possible integrations for new conveyor and picking lines, including engineering specifications, design rates, tie ins, and potential capacity bottle necks
  • Lead critical cross-functional projects with external functions and DC operations
