About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer to support a position located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The Sr. Logistics Engineer must have experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles to support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI5000.02. This role, and its anticipates salary range, is listed as a Level 5, but can also accommodate a Level 6 and the associated increase in anticipated salary.

Requirements

• 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR 13 years relevant experience with Masters OR 10 years relevant experience with PhD OR high school diploma and 19 years of relevant experience.
• Five (5) of these years must be in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office.
• Two (2) years of DoD SAP engineering experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

• Preference for a prior aircraft maintenance manager or aircraft technician.
• M.S. degree in a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering discipline or Degree in Data analytics.
• Working level experience of field level aircraft maintenance environment
• Basic understanding of supply chain.
• Position will be required to operate modeling and simulation software for Logistics environment and Operations & Sustainment Elements which include: Cost, manpower, facilities, aircraft availability, and supply chain management at the individual unit/base level in order to identify risk areas and inform management with decision quality data for early lifecycle decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with execution of: USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516
• AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) Operational Safety, Suitability Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201
• Support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
• Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports.
• Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
• Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed.
• Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
• Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested
