HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Mid-Level Engineer Logistics 3 to join our team! The selected candidate will be supporting New Construction CVN Material History tasking as well as Planned Maintenance System tasking and analysis.

Requirements

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years’ experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Familiarity with Navy organizational structure and be conversant in the terminology of marine equipment maintenance.
Experience with US Navy Planned Maintenance System practices and procedures in a shipboard environment, from Work Center Level to Division Level. This includes utilizing PMS Scheduler (SKED), equipment validations, and Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP) entries and reviews.
Systems Experience (Engineering) including but not limited to: Steam/Nuclear/Gas Turbine/Diesel Main Propulsion/Water Jet, steam (main and auxiliary) system, diesel engine systems, electrical distribution systems, seawater system, freshwater systems, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, compressors, atmosphere control systems, steering systems, ventilation, air systems (high and low pressure), and ballast control systems.
Experience reviewing Technical Work Documents (TWDs) for accuracy and completeness.
Experience reading and interpreting technical data (blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, technical manuals, process instructions, etc.).
Experience complying with Quality Management Systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to assigned projects and developed project Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
Working knowledge of Naval Standard Items, Naval Ships Technical Manuals (NSTMs) and Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain base and ships access and obtain a CONFIDENTIAL Clearance.
Certify RCM Level I and II within 180 days, if not already certified.

Nice To Haves

Holding RCM Level I and RCM Level II Certification and experience with PMS Management Information System (PMSMIS).
Having Propulsion/Auxiliary Plant Operator/Engineering Officer Of the Watch (EOOW) and Journeyman qualifications.
Experience with ship overhauls and shipyard environment.
Ability to read and interpret design drawings, schematics, bills of material, and Navy parts lists, and organize large volumes of highly technical source data.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, Access, etc.) as well as related applications such as SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Works from developed procedures and guidelines.
Perform Ship Checks, as required, to capture nameplate data and other information pertinent to Shipyard Automated Material History Card Data (AMHCD) development for Secondary Propulsion Plant Material History.
Invoke the use of photography or other approved methods to capture nameplate data from reports and ship visits, and perform Derivative Classification, involving transcribing data from photographs into an Excel Spreadsheet to maintain/update records in AMHCD.
Reviews field support requirements and recommends tools and test equipment.
Establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support products, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
Perform RCM Level I and Level II Analysis of systems or equipment.
Engage with Customers (US Navy and Shipyard) in meetings and discussions to discuss ongoing work, coordination, and issues.
Identify potential project level risks to schedule or technical criteria.
Assists with plans and reviews schedules to establish priorities for work activities in support of Planned Maintenance System (PMS) projects, including Equipment Maintenance Page/Maintenance Requirements Cards authoring and revision.
