About The Position

The Senior Logistics Analyst leads transportation planning and inventory distribution to drive consistent, efficient fulfillment performance across the supply chain. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory fill rate while minimizing transportation cost, leveraging data and analytical insights to continuously improve operational outcomes. The ideal candidate brings deep logistics expertise, a results-oriented approach to managing complex supply chain challenges at scale, and the ability to build effective partnerships with both internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated growth in analytical scope and ownership.
  • eCommerce or multi-channel fulfillment experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of 3PL and carrier networks across freight modes (LTL, FTL, parcel), with hands-on experience managing external relationships.
  • Demonstrated expertise in distribution strategy, distribution resource planning (DRP), inventory planning and allocation, and multi-node network distribution, with strong proficiency in KPI management and data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS); proficiency with WMS, OMS, and BI tools such as Excel or Tableau.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Experience working with demand planning software and translating demand outputs into inventory and distribution strategies.
  • Effective communicator; ability to present data to leadership and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and execute distribution strategy across a multi-node fulfillment network, applying distribution resource planning (DRP) principles to optimize inventory positioning, align stock placement with demand signals, and drive end-to-end execution that minimizes network imbalances and fulfillment gaps.
  • Own inventory planning and allocation by translating demand planning outputs and sales velocity data into actionable allocation models; partner with 3PL and operations teams to ensure accurate, on-time inventory movement across the network.
  • Manage outbound freight operations through the TMS, overseeing carrier selection, booking, documentation, and compliance across all shipment modes; leverage system capabilities to optimize lead times, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with carriers, brokers, and 3PL providers; establish SLAs, monitor performance metrics (on-time pickup/delivery, issue resolution), proactively resolve exceptions, and hold carriers accountable to service commitments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain systemic workflows, standard operating procedures, and operational frameworks that support distribution, inventory management, and logistics execution; ensure processes are scalable, well-documented, and aligned with business objectives as the organization grows.
  • Analyze fulfillment KPIs, inventory imbalances, and network performance; develop dashboards and deliver data-driven insights, trends, and actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across transportation and logistics operations, developing business cases and implementing scalable, high-impact solutions.
  • Serve as the logistics subject matter expert for cross-functional teams, translating complex operational data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making.
