About The Position

Sabre Systems is seeking a Senior Logistician to support the Combat Survivability Division at NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD. This role focuses on Low Observables (LO) Life Cycle Management (LCM) and is an in-person, on-site position. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating across multi-level security environments, preparing technical documentation, evaluating product support requirements, eliciting and analyzing logistics requirements, managing risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing data to inform investment recommendations, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with DoD and NAVAIR policies. The position requires a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with additional experience, at least ten years of relevant experience in program management or technical/business analysis related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management, with a minimum of six years in analysis and planning. Experience with multi-level security projects, logistics/product support in defense/aerospace, and DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements is necessary. Strong analytical, documentation, presentation, and communication skills are essential. An active TS with SAP eligibility is required, with desired SCI eligibility and optimal C-Net access and SCI Access Indoctrination. The position is not eligible for telework, with anticipated travel of 20% and a level of effort of 1,920 hours.

Requirements

  • Business, Management, Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
  • At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in a program management, technical or business analysis discipline related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management is required, with a minimum of six (6) years out of the previous ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience related to analysis and planning.
  • Experience delivering results in support of multi-level security projects.
  • Experience in logistics/product support within defense, aerospace, or complex technical environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency with managing DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and processes
  • Ability to elicit, analyze, document logistics and sustainment requirements from diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Experiencce identifying, assessing, and mitigating logistics and sustainment risks.
  • Proficiency in preparing logistics documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Minimum Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS with SAP eligibility

  • Direct experience supporting the design and/or sustainment of low observable air vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and efficiently operate and communicate across multi-level security environments.
  • Summarizing data, observations, and findings to support the preparation of technical documents, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Evaluate product support requirements to quantify capability and capacity gaps with LO sustainment within naval aviation.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document logistics and sustainment requirements from stakeholders, ensuring alignment with operational and technical objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage logistics-related risks, develop mitigation strategies, and help maintain a risk register.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, program offices, contractors, and external agencies to ensure logistics requirements are understood and met.
  • Analyze sustainment, readiness, and cost data inform investment recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to optimize logistics and sustainment outcomes.
  • Ensure proposed logistics solutions comply with applicable DoD and NAVAIR policies, standards, and security requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise logistics documentation, reports, and presentation for stakeholders and leadership.
