About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Logistician to join their team in Ft. Meade, MD. This role supports challenging, mission-critical projects in the Cyber, Security, & Intel space, directly impacting the Nation’s security and intelligence mission. The position is within the Intel and Cyber Division, supporting a program that provides critical IT capabilities to the Department of Defense for DISA. The team is focused on engineering, assembling, integrating, deploying, and sustaining an innovative IT enterprise solution. They are looking for critical thinkers with a strong work ethic who can thrive independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, capable of strategic thinking, and able to respond quickly to challenges. Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and the ability to master new products, systems, and processes are essential. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in logistics, property accountability, inventory management, supply chain operations, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of government property management principles, practices, and accountability requirements.
  • Experience processing and maintaining property accountability documentation, including DD Forms 1149, 1150, 1348, and other relevant logistics records.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, asset tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to conduct physical inventories, reconcile records, and maintain accurate asset accountability.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing requirements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation, reporting, and property management activities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing mission requirements, learn new systems and processes, and support evolving operational needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) and other locations as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical inventory activities in office, storage, and warehouse environments.
  • TS-SCI security clearance required.
  • High School Diploma/Associate’s Degree minimum education.
  • 10 years of relevant experience minimum.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a logistics subject matter expert, coordinating closely with personnel across multiple functional areas to support mission requirements.
  • Oversees equipment deliveries and property transfers between government organizations.
  • Provides recommendations on logistics best practices.
  • Develops process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Acts as a central point of coordination for ongoing operations, ensuring the timely fulfillment of equipment and service requests to meet customer needs and project schedules.
  • Collaborates with project managers, functional leads, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of assigned tasks and the successful delivery of mission-critical support.
  • Completes all training requirements and fulfills all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Conforms to the Amentum Quality Policy and carries out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Reads and understands his/her Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.
  • Reads, understands and implements the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
