As a Senior LOB Risk Specialist within PNC's Supply Chain organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH. As a LOB Risk Specialist within PNC's Enterprise Third Party Management organization, you will support multiple Risk Steward disciplines in the evaluation and oversight of Third Party relationships. This role is responsible for performing risk assessments, analyzing due diligence information, identifying potential risk exposures, and providing insights that support informed risk management decisions. The position requires strong collaboration skills, the ability to build effective relationships across the enterprise, and consistent communication with stakeholders. The successful candidate will support Financial Risk Steward activities, including the review and analysis of financial statements, audit reports, credit information, and other financial due diligence documentation to identify indicators of financial strength, stability, and potential risk. The role requires strong expertise in evaluating third-party financial risk through the analysis of financial statements, liquidity, profitability, leverage, and cash flow trends. This knowledge is essential to support Third Party risk assessments, due diligence activities, ongoing monitoring, and the identification of potential financial risks that could impact the organization.

Requirements

  • Risk management background with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management and due diligence processes.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and analyze financial statements, audit reports, and financial risk indicators.
  • Understanding of key financial concepts including profitability, liquidity, leverage, cash flow, and creditworthiness.
  • Data analytics and reporting experience helpful.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the Line of Business Risk Management program, identifying opportunities for enhancement where applicable.
  • Enables line of business adherence with risk management programs.
  • Participates in the design and development of the risk management program to meet business and regulatory expectations.
  • Leads in the design and development of specific risk management program components.
  • Executes the risk management programs within or across the lines of business (e.g. - business self-assessment and quality reviews).
  • May lead cross functional teams.
  • Provides risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Credit, Legal, Audit).
  • Leads or influences risk initiatives and business as usual activities.
  • Identifies risk, assesses impact and makes recommendations on resolution.
  • Reports and escalates risk and program compliance as appropriate.
