About The Position

Responsible for timely processing of Conventional, FHA and VA mortgage loan applications in compliance with investor requirements. Ensure completeness of mortgage loan applications, clarifying and obtaining additional documentation as needed. Prepare loan file for underwriting approval. Proactive communication of loan status to originators, borrowers and agents.

Requirements

• Must be located in the North Raleigh/ Wake Forest area.
• At least 3-5 years of experience processing mortgage loan applications.
• Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, bond and conventional underwriting guidelines and loan process.
• Ability to review AUS findings and guidelines prior to loan submission to confirm that application fits loan program applied for.
• Proficient in Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LPA).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

• VHDA and NCHFA processing experience a plus.
• Prefer working knowledge of Encompass loan origination system.
• New Construction experience preferred.
