About The Position

The Healthcare Senior Loan Closer is a support role working directly with loans, inquiries, and items directly related to client satisfaction with the U.S. Bank relationship while working alongside the Healthcare Relationship Managers and Practice Finance Business Development Officers. Supports sales teams in executing a One Bank strategy and growing market share. Responsible for retaining and deepening client relationships by providing exceptional client experience and support that is knowledgeable, timely and professional.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically eight or more years of job-related experience
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including nCino, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Three or more years of previous real estate loan administration experience or real estate paralegal experience
  • Experience in receiving and implementing performance feedback and coaching
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience deepening relationships over the phone with clients
  • Must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews loan approval and loan documents prepared by internal teams and outside counsel.
  • Ensures borrowers and lenders pay all fees and sets up an escrow if needed.
  • Collects required documentation from client based on loan conditions and monitors closing documentation requirements.
  • Builds relationships with clients and manages their expectations for documentation and timing. Identifies and delivers to client's needs through loan closing process.
  • Ensures compliance with all loan requirements, regulatory requirements, and approval conditions.
  • Identifies issues during the due diligence phase and works with others to find solutions.
  • Communicates with title and closing agents, outside counsel, borrower and others to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaborates on and implements new hire and continuing education methodology and resources for the Loan Closing team.
  • Holds a pipeline of 12-16 loans, closing 5-7 per month.
  • Takes on complex, advanced loan types.
  • Acts as a mentor for the team.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Healthcare Lending playbook.
  • Owns all aspects of training components for the closing team.
  • Independently works with partners to create and maintain training for the Closing team.
  • Discovers and implements creative ways to continue education for current Closers and onboard new Closers.
  • Stays updated on all enhancements and soon to come items for the closing team.
  • Organizes special projects to continue the advancement of Healthcare and the closing team.
  • Maintains strong relationships with the team while being able to train and upskill closers on identified areas by management.
