About The Position
Senior Living Chef $20/hour | Full-Time Barton House | Scottsdale, AZ Create dining experiences that bring comfort, familiarity, and joy to every table - with a schedule that works for you. Barton House is seeking a Senior Living Chef to lead daily meal preparation for our Memory Care community. In this role, you'll craft meals that enhance quality of life while supporting the dietary needs of our residents.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a professional kitchen, culinary, or food service environment
- Current Food Handler Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification, and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Ability to remain on your feet throughout the shift and safely lift or move up to 15 pounds
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience serving seniors or healthcare populations is a plus
- Culinary training, vocational coursework, or related food service education preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present fresh, well-balanced meals and snacks that promote resident health and enjoyment
- Adapt menu items to accommodate specialized diets, texture modifications, and physician-directed nutrition plans
- Maintain high standards of food quality, kitchen sanitation, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee inventory organization, food storage practices, and proper temperature controls
- Partner with community leadership and care teams to deliver a positive and engaging dining experience
