About The Position

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations, system monitoring, escalation support, and overall system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience administering Linux, Unix, or Windows environments and supporting enterprise infrastructure in fast-paced operational settings.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs or environments of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Experience working with Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco operating systems
  • 5+ years of experience administering Linux, Unix, or Windows operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience installing software packages such as ISO and Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) packages
  • IAT Level I Certification
  • TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and administering messaging services such as: Java Messaging Service (JMS), TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka
  • Experience supporting applications in SIGINT environments
  • Certifications or experience related to Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco operating systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in mission-critical environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and operations
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Manage daily configuration, operation, and maintenance activities for IT systems
  • Assist users with accessing and utilizing IT systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments
  • Communicate issue status and resolutions to management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and capacity planning
  • Troubleshoot complex IT system issues and provide detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Support dispatch systems and hardware-related issues through resolution
  • Configure and manage UNIX, Windows, or other applicable operating systems
  • Install and maintain operating system software and related components
  • Configure and maintain network components and system infrastructure
  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance
