About The Position

Radia is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Licensing Specialist to join our Credentialing team. The Senior Licensing Specialist performs advanced licensing, credentialing, and provider enrollment functions to support provider onboarding and regulatory compliance. This role applies in-depth knowledge of state licensing requirements, processes, and regulations to maintain accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards. Serving as a subject matter expert, the Senior Licensing Specialist provides training, guidance, and cross-coverage for both Credentialing and Licensing functions while supporting workflow coordination, process improvement, and operational continuity. Success in this role requires strong communication, collaboration, independent judgment, and a commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Requirements

  • 3 years of licensing experience in a healthcare setting, lead-level experience preferred.
  • CPCS certification required within 1 year of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, provider licensing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission, NCQA).
  • Knowledge of the aspects in provider licensing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate, complete multi-state licensing applications, including complex and non-standard cases.
  • Manage licensing timelines, renewals, approvals, provider communications, and documentation to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Exercise independent judgment to resolve licensing issues, identify risks, and proactively address process gaps or delays.
  • Maintain exceptional quality, accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across all licensing activities.
  • Lead or support projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives that enhance licensing operations.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and develop sustainable solutions, standardized processes, best practices, and supporting documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on state licensing requirements, providing guidance, training, mentorship, and onboarding support.
  • Partner with Team Leads, Managers, and cross-functional teams to improve workflows, implement operational changes, and achieve departmental goals.
  • Build strong relationships with providers, state medical boards, and internal stakeholders while representing the department in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, professionalism, and discretion while positively influencing team collaboration, performance, and change adoption.
