About The Position

Our client, a leading TPA, is seeking an experienced Senior Liability Claims Specialist to join a growing claims team handling complex auto liability exposures. This role focuses primarily on third-party bodily injury and property damage claims involving commercial transportation operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong investigative, negotiation, and coverage analysis skills, along with the ability to manage claims through resolution with minimal supervision. This position is fully remote, Pacific Time Zone candidates preferred. California Adjuster License is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial auto liability claims handling experience
  • Strong experience handling bodily injury and property damage claims
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Active California Adjuster License required

Nice To Haves

  • General liability claims experience preferred
  • Some litigation exposure preferred
  • Experience with municipality, public entity, or transportation-related accounts is a plus
  • Ability to independently manage complex liability investigations and negotiations
  • Multiple active state adjuster licenses strongly preferred
  • Candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone preferred

Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of complex commercial auto liability claims involving bodily injury and property damage exposures
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve third-party liability claims in accordance with company guidelines and jurisdictional requirements
  • Review police reports, witness statements, medical documentation, and other claim-related materials to determine liability and exposure
  • Manage claims from inception through resolution, including settlement negotiations and claim disposition
  • Collaborate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the claims process
  • Assist with claims involving litigation, including coordinating with defense counsel and monitoring litigation strategy when necessary
  • Apply coverage analysis and liability determination across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation and reserve activity
  • Provide excellent customer service while balancing compliance, risk management, and cost containment objectives
