Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of experience in welding
Must be certified unlimited in GMAW, FCAW or FCAW-G, and SMAW.
Must be certified to weld rebar
Must be certified to operate the overhead and/or jib crane and/or forklift
Availability to work overtime as needed
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Must be able to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

Must be proficient in use of carbon arc
HS Diploma/GED preferred
Must know how to operate a grinder

Responsibilities

Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)
Grinding and cleaning welds
Replace wire in welding machines
Out of position welding (horizontal and vertical)
Weld larger assemblies
Read WPS and set machine accordingly
Weld larger frames, including CJP welds
Read prints and understand what welds are required per shop drawings
Follow all Safety Rules
