About The Position

Beyond Talentedge has partnered with a local Rochester company in search of a Senior Level Maintenance Technician. Duties include performing advanced maintenance and repair work on residential buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role also requires strong skills across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, painting, and mechanical systems. While employees may specialize in one trade, they must be able to work across disciplines as needed. This position is Direct Hire.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience as a skilled trades person in mechanical, construction, or maintenance work
  • Graduation from a technical high school in a construction or mechanical trade plus two (2) years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, plans, and instructions
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise and direct the work of others
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and heavier items with assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb stairs, and work for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work in confined or uncomfortable environments
  • Valid New York State Class D Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex repairs and installations involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Complete skilled work in carpentry, masonry, locksmithing, painting, welding, and fabrication
  • Maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Operate vehicles, power tools, and grounds keeping equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and building system problems and make necessary repairs
  • Assign tasks and supervise maintenance staff, helpers, and laborers
  • Train and guide staff to improve skills and performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and work standards
  • Perform related duties as assigned
