About The Position

Provides administrative, analytical, and transactional support to CRE lenders throughout the loan lifecycle. This role is responsible for coordinating loan documentation, assisting with underwriting and closing processes, maintaining borrower and loan records, and serving as a key liaison between borrowers, internal departments, and third‑party vendors. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast‑paced lending environment. Perform other related duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Finance, Business, Real Estate, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial lending, loan administration, or credit support preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate loan structures (term loans, lines of credit, construction/permanent loans).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and transactions simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with loan systems a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of CRE fundamentals (LTV, DSCR, NOI, cap rates)
  • Experience working with appraisals, environmental reports, and title matters
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong follow‑through and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Support CRE lenders with new loan originations, renewals, modifications, and extensions
  • Prepare and assemble loan packages for underwriting, approval, and closing
  • Order and track third‑party reports including appraisals, environmental reports, surveys, title, and zoning
  • Review loan documents for completeness and accuracy prior to submission and closing
  • Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, appraisers, and vendors to ensure timely closings
  • Assist in gathering borrower financial information, including personal and business financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, tax returns, and entity organizational documents
  • Input and maintain data in credit and loan systems
  • Help prepare internal materials such as credit memoranda, spreads, and covenant tracking
  • Monitor post‑closing requirements and loan covenants
  • Serve as a point of contact for borrowers regarding documentation requests and closing logistics
  • Coordinate with internal departments including Credit, Loan Operations, Compliance, and Closing
  • Respond to borrower inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical loan files
  • Assist with loan renewals, ticklers, and maturity tracking
  • Monitor insurance coverage, escrow items, and required reporting
  • Update loan records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to the CRE lending team as needed
