About The Position

Everseen is seeking an agile, business-minded Senior Legal Counsel (US Qualified) to join their tight-knit, collaborative, globally facing team. The Senior Legal Counsel will serve as a key strategic partner to the General Counsel and business leadership, helping to steer the commercial engine, scale corporate and operational foundations, and protect the company’s interests during worldwide expansion. The position focuses on day-to-day legal operations, divided into two main areas: deal oversight and support for customer commercial transactions, and conventional legal aspects including Intellectual Property, data privacy, ESOP, and corporate governance. Requirements

US qualified lawyer
At least 4 to 7 years post-qualification experience in related areas of the law
Deep knowledge of commercial contracts (technology / SaaS)
Highest standard of professional ethics and integrity
Demonstrated drive, enthusiasm to learn and the ability to work well in a dynamic team environment
Solid understanding of commercial law, and the commercial consequences of legal issues
Sound judgement and the ability to analyze situations and information
Outstanding organization and communication skills

Responsibilities

Support the General Counsel and the rest of the Legal & Compliance team in overseeing the legal & compliance aspects of the company’s business and advancing company objectives while mitigating risk.
Help safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring adherence to laws, rules & policies, and provide effective & practical legal advice across the organization.
Assist US-based General Counsel in planning and development in support of evolving the legal function.
Work with the legal team in Ireland and support a follow-the-sun working methodology.
Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, partners and service providers and provide support to more junior members of the legal team.
Provide accurate and timely counsel to company employees on a variety of legal topics (including commercial contracts, privacy and data protection, policies and procedures, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment law, etc.).
Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on legal aspects of a commercial transaction.
Communicate, negotiate, and resolve issues with colleagues and external parties, establishing relations of trust.
Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders.
Maintain the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and responsibility.
Keep current on updates and changes in applicable rules and legislation, and develop expertise in new areas of practice.
Work closely with the General Counsel and rest of the Legal & Compliance Department to ensure consistent and reliable support to the organization.
