About The Position

Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior LeanIX Engineer to implement and develop SAP LeanIX from the ground up. The role covers platform configuration, data modeling, integrations, and adoption, in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team. The engineer will help define priorities, maintain a development roadmap, and deliver measurable value incrementally while establishing a sustainable, well-governed enterprise architecture management capability. This is a remote contract role. The candidate must travel to Washington, DC, once per quarter for a PI meeting.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT asset/application portfolio management, or platform engineering.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on SAP LeanIX experience.
  • Proven experience implementing LeanIX from the ground up in a large, complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and practices, including TOGAF, business capability modeling, application rationalization, and TIME/6R analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with LeanIX meta-model configuration, fact sheets, reports, diagrams, surveys, and Integration Hub.
  • Proficiency with REST/GraphQL APIs, JSON, and Python or JavaScript scripting for integrations and data automation.
  • Experience integrating LeanIX with ServiceNow CMDB and other enterprise systems of record.
  • Ability to work directly with EA leaders and stakeholders to shape priorities and roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • LeanIX Associate or Professional certification, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Experience with application rationalization or technology obsolescence programs that delivered quantified savings or risk reduction.
  • Exposure to IT financial management, SAM/HAM, or cloud cost transparency tooling.
  • Experience in a regulated or safety-critical operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ground-up implementation of LeanIX, including workspace setup, meta-model configuration, fact sheet design, tagging, and subscription and ownership models.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to prioritize work and translate enterprise architecture use cases into platform capabilities.
  • Build, own, and refine a development roadmap with sequenced releases, dependencies, and value milestones.
  • Define and enforce the EA data model, taxonomy, and data quality standards; establish authoritative data sources and stewardship responsibilities.
  • Design and deliver integrations with ServiceNow CMDB, HR and identity systems, cloud providers, CI/CD, and other enterprise sources using LeanIX Integration API, REST/GraphQL, and Integration Hub.
  • Configure reports, dashboards, diagrams, and surveys to support architecture decisions and executive reporting.
  • Establish EA governance and operating processes, including lifecycle management, survey and attestation cycles, data quality scoring, and meta-model change control.
  • Deliver usable capabilities incrementally rather than waiting for a single go-live.
  • Apply industry best practices and LeanIX reference implementations; advise stakeholders on out-of-the-box functionality versus customization.
  • Drive adoption through enablement, training, documentation, and communities of practice across EA, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration baselines, and runbooks, and transition the platform to support teams.
  • Define and report success metrics, including data completeness, application coverage, rationalization savings, risk reduction, and adoption.
