Jabil is seeking a Senior Lean Six Sigma Manager to work Remote in the USA, with preference working close to one of our Jabil Plants (in St. Petersburg, FL; Auburn Hills, MI; Memphis, TN; or Florence, KY).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management; or other similar related discipline required.
- At least 12 years of experience in Manufacturing Management, Engineering Management or Project Management OR an equivalent combination of education, training or experience required.
- At least 2 years of Leadership or Supervisory experience.
- Experience in Change Management required.
- Willingness to travel domestically between 50-75% of the time.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experienced in successfully deploying Continuous Improvement programs (Lean and Six Sigma) in an operations environment.
- Results-driven change agent.
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to influence all levels cross-functionally.
Nice To Haves
- Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ, SME, Shing Prize) strongly preferred.
- Project and facilitation experience in a heavily matrixed environment strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with each site’s Plant Lean Manager, Operations Manager and Lean Deployment Manager to ensure plants have effective visual management systems that link strategic vision to tactical execution, using Blue Walls and X-Matrix’s.
- Offer effective Lean Six Sigma tools, systems, guidance, training and methodologies to site leadership teams to increase Jabil’s value stream transformation model.
- Support training for site team members on Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Team with the Regional and Site Leadership in their Lean Deployment maturity.
- Work with site Plant Lean Managers and Operations Managers to ensure link to Jabil’s Global Lean Six Sigma Deployment Strategy.
- Utilize Jabil metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive successful design and implementation of solutions.
- Train, support and mentor Lean and Six Sigma Training programs.
- Lead and teach effective use of Kaizen Events to drive a Lean transformation.
- Benchmark Jabil Sites and other companies to develop Jabil capabilities.
- Lead and facilitate the monthly Innovation Forum via Microsoft Teams.
- Ensure that Jabil’s education & training curriculum & content meets the needs of the sites.
- Provide Site Assessments to assess their Lean Deployment strategy and effectiveness.
- Support site & regional strategy plan by identifying key improvement priorities to enhance site and Jabil performance.
- Perform and document Lean Deployment Manager coaching and development on a regular basis.
- Ensure all new plant lean managers complete the On-boarding process.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and practices in areas such as safety and all regulatory compliance.
