About The Position

The Air Dominance Lean team within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Manufacturing, Safety & Quality is seeking a Senior Lean Practitioner (Level 4). This role requires a Lean+ / Operational Excellence expert to support the implementation and maturity of the Boeing Production System (BPS). The successful candidate will collaborate across the F-15 Production System to embed lean principles and tactics, driving the integration of BPS / Operational Excellence best practices with program and manufacturing teams, and other enterprise stakeholders. The goal is to achieve world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency. This includes training and implementing 5S+ standard practices across the STL Site and Air Dominance Programs to mature sustained 5S+ practices to world-class levels. The candidate will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach, leveraging knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape Lean+ manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing Lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation
  • 5+ years of experience in Lean events, such as Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW) or Value Steam Mapping (VSM) or have you completed a Lean class
  • 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transitions, or initiatives
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
