About The Position

The Air Dominance Lean team within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Manufacturing, Safety & Quality is seeking a Senior Lean Practitioner (Level 4). This role requires a Lean+ / Operational Excellence expert to support the implementation and maturity of the Boeing Production System (BPS). The practitioner will collaborate across the F-15 Production System to embed lean principles and tactics, aiming to achieve business objectives. The position involves partnering with BDS Program and manufacturing teams, as well as other enterprise stakeholders, to integrate BPS / Operational Excellence best practices for world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency. A key responsibility will be training and implementing 5S+ standard practices across the STL Site and Air Dominance Programs to achieve milestones and mature sustained 5S+ practices to world-class levels. The successful candidate will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach, leveraging knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Lean+ manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing Lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation
  • 5+ years of experience in Lean events, such as Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW) or Value Steam Mapping (VSM) or have you completed a Lean class
  • 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transitions, or initiatives
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
