About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a SENIOR LEAN PRACTITIONER (LEVEL 5) to join our BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES LEAN OFFICE AND INTEGRATION TEAM in the Puget Sound region to include RENTON, WASHINGTON or EVERETT, WASHINGTON on 1st Shift. Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles. Develops and updates instructional materials. Seeks out new tools and techniques. Tailors message to specific audience level. Mentors instructors, experienced practitioners and leaders. Guides the effective application and integration of LEAN implementation. Leads and facilitates complex and high visibility process improvement efforts. Develops an integrated strategy and assists with its strategic deployment. Applies and integrates improvement processes and tools across the extended enterprise. Leads the development of new improvement tools. Benchmarks best practices. Leads and facilitates the improvement and standardization of enterprise policies and procedures. Participates in the business acquisition, offset or proposal process. Assesses business capability and capacity. Represents the LEAN improvements function in program reviews. The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage his/her knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Boeing Production Systems solutions to satisfy program needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience implementing lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation.
  • 8+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., BPSM /AIW / 3P / Kaizen / VSM, Process Mapping, AIW, DK)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Project management certification
  • Knowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • Previous experience with business case development, stakeholder alignment, benefits capture, institutionalization, and continuous improvements
