The Leadership Learning Facilitator plays a critical role in delivering high‑impact HR and leadership learning experiences that strengthen leadership capability, elevate performance management practices, and support GM’s enterprise talent strategy. This Facilitator serves as a trusted learning partner for leaders and HR professionals, bringing leadership and HR concepts to life through engaging, practice‑based facilitation. The role focuses on performance management, coaching, leader effectiveness, inclusion, and manager capability, ensuring learners can immediately apply skills on the job.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience facilitating leadership, HR, or professional skills learning in corporate or organizational settings.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Proven experience facilitating ILT and VILT leadership programs, including performance management, coaching, feedback, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong capability in facilitating discussions with people leaders, HR professionals, and senior audiences.
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, experiential learning, and behavior‑change facilitation.
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments that encourage participation and psychological safety.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presence; confident, credible, and adaptable facilitation style.
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate instructor‑led (ILT) and virtual instructor‑led (VILT) programs focused on: Professional skills and behavioral competencies, Leadership effectiveness and manager capability, Performance management conversations, Coaching and feedback skills, Goal‑setting and accountability, Inclusive leadership and leader behaviors.
  • Create engaging, discussion‑rich learning environments that encourage reflection, practice, and real‑world application.
  • Use questioning, debriefing, and coaching techniques to deepen learner insight and behavior change.
  • Adapt facilitation approach in real time based on audience needs, group dynamics, and learning objectives.
  • Translate leadership and HR concepts into practical, actionable behaviors leaders can apply immediately on the job.
  • Facilitate skill practice scenarios, role plays, peer coaching, and real‑world application exercises.
  • Reinforce learning through job‑relevant examples aligned to GM leadership expectations and culture.
  • Serve as a role model for inclusive leadership, psychological safety, and effective facilitation practices.
  • Partner closely with Learning Program Managers (LPMs), HRBPs, and Talent partners to align facilitation to program goals and business priorities.
  • Participate in train‑the‑trainer sessions to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across facilitators.
  • Provide feedback to design and program teams on learner experience, content clarity, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support program launches, pilot sessions, and scaled rollouts across regions and audiences.
  • Collect and incorporate learner feedback to continuously improve facilitation effectiveness.
  • Support post‑session reinforcement efforts (reflection activities, action planning, follow‑up discussions).
  • Partner with learning analytics teams to understand outcomes and inform facilitation improvements.
