About The Position

Fervo Energy is seeking a Senior Leader, Asset Management to lead the company's asset management function during a critical phase of commercial growth. This leadership role involves managing a team and overseeing market integration, portfolio optimization, and commercial asset management. The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills, the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations, and the executive presence to engage with senior leadership. While deep geothermal or asset management expertise is not mandatory, the ability to act quickly, build effective teams, simplify complexity, and take ownership of results is essential. This position reports to the SVP, Development & Commercial Markets and will manage a growing team.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive experience in complex commercial, program management, or operational leadership roles.
Proven track record building and leading high-performing teams in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
Demonstrated P&L ownership, contract management, or revenue operations experience.
Decisive under ambiguity: ability to move from ambiguous problems to structured action plans rapidly.
Direct and accountable: ability to set clear expectations, follow through, and hold the team to the same standard.
Executive presence: ability to communicate with precision and confidence, earning credibility with a data-driven CEO audience.
Builder mindset: energized by creating structure, building teams, and establishing functional infrastructure in a growth environment.
Strong financial and analytical instincts; ability to interrogate models, challenge assumptions, and synthesize outputs.
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs or commercial operations with significant revenue or cost exposure.
Comfort navigating highly technical domains and developing functional fluency quickly.
Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction and own execution across market integration (CAISO/SC), portfolio optimization (P&L, forecasting, unit economics), and commercial asset management (PPA and customer relationships).
Define team structure, roles, and operating cadences to scale the function with Fervo's growing portfolio.
Drive weekly leadership reporting and escalations to the SVP, translating operational details into executive-ready updates with clear recommendations.
Own the Asset Management function's contribution to Cape Phase 1 COD readiness, Day 1 market execution, and post-COD commercial operations.
Manage, develop, and hold accountable a team of senior managers, analysts, and specialists.
Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, clear priorities, and direct feedback.
Partner with the SVP on organizational design, career pathing, and talent decisions.
Leverage the expertise of senior individual contributors to develop team capabilities and establish operational standards.
Represent Asset Management at the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) level, in board materials, and in external partner-facing settings.
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Origination, and Market Fundamentals to align strategies and resolve cross-functional issues.
Synthesize technical, financial, and market inputs into actionable recommendations for the SVP and CEO.
Establish and own the Asset Management function's operating rhythms, including reporting cadences, performance dashboards, KPIs, and escalation protocols.
Ensure compliance with PPA obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.
Champion continuous improvement and the adoption of tools, processes, and technologies to enhance reliability and margin performance.
