About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Strategy and Planning Consultant (Executive Director level role) to support the Business Credit Card leadership team in shaping and delivering the strategic growth agenda for the Card & Personal Loans (CPL) line of business. This role serves as a strategic partner to senior leaders, focused on enterprise planning, organizational effectiveness, execution of complex initiatives, and clear, aligned communication across a highly matrixed organization. Card & Personal Loans (CPL) provides customers with a broad range of credit solutions, delivering industry‑leading products, rewards, and benefits that help business customers start, run, and grow their businesses. The Senior Lead Strategy and Planning Consultant will play a critical role in advancing the business credit card growth strategy. This individual will work closely with business credit card leadership, functional partners, and subject matter experts to develop and execute strategies that enable responsible, profitable growth. Through structured analysis, strategic planning, and disciplined execution, this role will help leadership identify growth opportunities, resolve constraints, align priorities, and drive measurable outcomes across the business credit card portfolio. The role will require a blend of strategic planning, business transformation, consulting, partner management, risk awareness, and executive communications.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Financial services experience, with strong knowledge of Credit Cards and/or Retail Banking
  • Experience leading large, cross‑functional initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Management consulting experience or consulting on complex strategic initiatives
  • Strong understanding of project and program management principles
  • Extensive experience utilizing PowerPoint to create executive‑level presentations that inform and influence senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity, change, and competing priorities
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with a track record of delivering actionable, data‑driven insights
  • Structured problem solver with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience using data and narrative to drive alignment and decision‑making

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, maintenance, and delivery of the business credit card strategic growth plan, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities
  • Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to improve business performance, execution rigor, and organizational efficiency
  • Manage a portfolio of large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives, driving accountability, dependency management, and on‑time delivery
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that drives alignment across all levels of the organization, including strategic updates for senior executives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex data and analysis into clear, actionable guidance
  • Develop executive materials for Business Card business reviews and forums
  • Lead and influence subject matter experts and partners to produce fact‑based recommendations that support strategic decision‑making
  • Establish and monitor OKRs and KPIs to measure progress, identify risks, and course‑correct as needed, including supporting annual target setting
  • Lead the development and execution of the AI learning and enablement strategy for Business Credit Card, in partnership with the Card & Personal Loans (CPL) organization, to build capability, accelerate adoption, and support strategic decision‑making
  • Deliver Chief of Staff–style support for the Business Credit Card leadership team, including leadership alignment, agenda setting, prioritization, decision framing, and follow‑through on strategic commitments
