About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC office. Work Schedule This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Labcorp is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join our Order & Results Integration team and serve as a technical leader across multiple platforms and teams. This role goes beyond individual project delivery—you'll define the technical vision and strategy for how genetic testing ordering and results delivery systems evolve over multiple years, while influencing roadmaps across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals. You'll own the design and delivery of large-scale, business-critical systems that span multiple teams and platforms, working with interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR at organizational scale. This is a role for someone who thrives on solving ambiguous problems with high organizational impact, creates coherent architectures across system boundaries, and serves as a role model for engineering excellence across the company. You'll break down silos, inspire teams around long-term technical vision, and drive initiatives that fundamentally improve how we build and operate healthcare integration systems at scale while maintaining compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
