About The Position

This role involves assisting with intake and governance processes to achieve tactical and strategic goals, laying the groundwork for future projects. The engineer will collaborate with various software engineering teams, including payment gateways, central reservation systems, development, and QA, within an agile framework to deliver new features. Responsibilities include resolving product issues, advocating for assigned products, supporting project delivery, and ensuring alignment with program deliverables. The role requires driving process and product changes for scalability and supportability, engaging internal teams to ensure adherence to tasks and timelines, and working with properties and the Front Office team to identify and prioritize product gaps and opportunities. Additionally, the engineer will coordinate with vendor partner development teams to ensure delivered releases meet requirements. The position requires 10% domestic travel and supervises subordinate(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Database management, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience working with Property Management Systems.
  • Experience utilizing Splunk, Postman, Data Dog, and ServiceNow tools.
  • Experience using technology for hotels/property management, data structuring, analysis, and SQL proficiency.
  • Experience managing CI (continuous integration) /CD (continuous deployment) pipeline.
  • Experience preparing cases for system and regression testing.
  • Experience designing complex application component solutions.
  • Experience utilizing TeamCity & Bamboo and PowerShell as scripting language.
  • Experience identifying system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve product issues and act as an advocate for assigned products.
  • Provide support to project delivery and maintain alignment with program deliverables, driving process, and product changes as required to achieve scalability and supportability of deployment.
  • Engage internal teams to ensure adherence to shared tasks and timelines.
  • Work with properties and the Front Office team to identify and prioritize gaps and opportunities within the product offering.
  • Coordinate with the vendor partner development team to ensure the delivered releases meet requirements.
  • Supervise subordinate(s).
