Senior/Lead Product Manager

EvolutionIQChicago, IL
$220,000 - $240,000

About The Position

EvolutionIQ's mission is to deliver state-of-the-art technology that helps insurance claims teams make claims handling more accurate, fair, and efficient. As part of CCC Intelligent Solutions, we combine EIQ's AI-native product development with CCC's proprietary data and deep carrier relationships to serve the largest insurance carriers. We are hiring Senior & Lead Product Managers to help build the next generation of AI-first products for Property & Casualty (P&C) claims. You will work across both EIQ and CCC product lines to develop and execute on an ambitious multi-year roadmap to deliver next-generation workflows, synthesis, insights, and decision guidance technologies to our broad shared customer base in P&C. This role involves driving the roadmap and execution for AI-first products, building and shipping AI-first products that guide and augment human decision-making, working directly with stakeholders at major insurance carriers, testing product concepts, getting early product concepts in front of customers, partnering with customer success, sales, and product marketing, writing code and building working prototypes alongside engineers using AI coding tools, defining clear value propositions, adoption hypotheses, and kill criteria, and contributing to the strategic direction of P&C products broadly.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience in enterprise software or high-production SaaS environment
  • At least one 0-to-1 product build, ideally in a startup or high-velocity environment
  • Deep experience in at least one complex, regulated vertical
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping AI-driven products
  • Track record of working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders to validate product direction
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with a bias toward action and learning over extensive upfront planning
  • Experience delivering results in a sales/GTM context, communicating effectively across stakeholders from end users to C-level executives
  • Seasoned Product professional who has built something from nothing at least once, ideally at a company where velocity and scrappiness were the norm.
  • Think about products in terms of the economic and workflow problems they solve for a specific buyer, and can carry that framing from early exploration through a compelling prototype.
  • Gone deep in at least one complex, regulated vertical (fintech, healthtech, legaltech, HCM, or similar) and can speak specifically about how you built that understanding.
  • Technical enough to contribute directly to working software. On a small team, there is no room for someone who shapes strategy and hands a spec to engineering. You build alongside your engineers using AI coding tools.
  • Been a product leader on at least one product where AI was core to the value proposition, and use AI tools daily in your actual work, not as a novelty, but as part of how you operate.
  • Comfortable working across multiple products and teams. Operating across both EIQ and CCC product lines, and energized by that breadth rather than needing a single, fixed lane.
  • Real discipline around killing work that isn't working. The intellectual honesty required to walk away from something you've built and care about, because the customer signal says no, is rarer than it sounds.
  • 0-to-1 product building. You have taken a product from concept through market validation and can point to specific decisions you made along the way.
  • Domain learning velocity. You can go deep in a new industry quickly, distinguish essential complexity from accumulated habit, and turn domain knowledge into product insight.
  • Technical contribution. You can prototype, build, and ship alongside engineers, working in AI coding environments and making direct technical contributions to the products you own.
  • Commercial instinct. You are comfortable in front of enterprise buyers, can construct a compelling value proposition and ROI case, and work well alongside sales and revenue teams.
  • AI fluency. You have practical, hands-on experience building AI-first products and a realistic sense of current capabilities and limitations.
  • Experimentation discipline. You define hypotheses, set kill criteria, test ideas with real customers, and make clear-eyed decisions about what to continue and what to stop.

  • Write code and build working prototypes alongside your engineers, using AI coding tools as a core part of how you work
  • Define clear value propositions, adoption hypotheses, and kill criteria for your work, and have the discipline to walk away from work that isn't landing
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of P&C products broadly
