About The Position

MacLellan Integrated Services is seeking a Senior Lead Operator to provide technical leadership and day-to-day direction to water and wastewater treatment operators. This role involves monitoring treatment performance, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, supporting employee training and development, and identifying opportunities for improvement in safety, reliability, efficiency, and compliance. The Senior Lead Operator will act as a key technical resource between front-line operations and site management, contributing to the team's success through development and consistent operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industrial water and/or wastewater treatment experience required.
  • Applicable state wastewater operator certification/license appropriate to the facility required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment processes, chemical treatment, process control, sampling, testing, solids management, and equipment operation required.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex treatment and equipment-related conditions and provide training, coaching, and technical direction to other employees required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Strong mechanical and process troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to analyze process data, identify trends, and respond appropriately to abnormal operating conditions.
  • Strong safety and environmental awareness.

Nice To Haves

  • Indiana Class D industrial wastewater operator certification or other advanced applicable wastewater certification preferred.
  • Class 4 or equivalent advanced water/wastewater treatment certification preferred.
  • Automotive manufacturing water or wastewater treatment experience and previous Lead Operator, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or comparable leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities
