Position Summary The Senior HR Assistant is a key administrative support role performing a range of HR support tasks for the Catlettsburg Refinery. The HR assistant will report to the Catlettsburg Refinery HR Director and will primarily support the HR Business Partner team, with secondary support for community relations and sitewide communications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Four (4) years of Human Resources or relevant support experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills preferred
  • Experience with Workday or other major HRIS systems preferred
  • Data processing skills and experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports various human resources functions and performs related administrative duties for the Catlettsburg Refinery.
  • Helps compile HR related data and information to support HR Business Partner functions.
  • Reviews and processes personnel data, benefit plans and other human resources-related actions utilizing technology and HR systems (Workday, Workforce, Absence Soft, etc.).
  • Provides administrative and scheduling support for recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Provides support for refinery-wide employee experience events and activities.
  • Assists with community relations and communications needs for the Garyville refinery.
  • Participates in developing new and improved approaches to various aspects of human resources and in recommending new and improved administrative methods and techniques to accomplish desired results.
  • May administer, monitor, and maintain documentation for assigned site HR programs.
  • Provides support and helps execute and continuously improve new hire orientation and onboarding for employees.
