About The Position

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading testing efforts at the module level. This role requires an independent contributor who can design and execute complex test cases effectively. The individual will be accountable for identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs and system issues. The Lead Engineer will ensure that products, applications, and systems function correctly when implemented at client sites. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in at least two of the organization’s core products, along with the ability to assess and understand the testing impact of changes made to the base systems. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with automation testing tools and execution, with the ability to efficiently convert manual test cases into scalable automation scenarios. Exposure to AI-driven tools to accelerate test case creation and improve execution efficiency will be an added advantage.

Requirements

• Strong experience in P&C or L&A domain (at least 6 years).
• Proven experience as a QA tester
• Experience in QA methodology
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Understand/ Analyse Requirements/ coverage at story, feature or End to end level
• Design / Write complex Test scenarios.
• Prepare Test artifacts like Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Reports and provide inputs for Test Strategy
• Conduct Peer Review / Review of Test Cases written by another team member/s
• Create and validate Test Data
• Test / Execute Complex Test Cases / Scenarios / End to End Testing
• Demonstrate domain Knowledge and need to interact with Client
• Manage defects by logging, updating status of defect, follow up on defects (getting fixes and re-test) and ensure successful closure of defect
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• To complete testing in line with agreed timeframes and by following the documented business processes using the appropriate test management and automation tools.
• Experience in automation test tool and execution
• Experience in converting manual test cases into multiple automation scenarios effectively and efficiently
• Having an exposure of AI tools to improve execution time and to create automation test cases quickly
• Mentor junior team members and guide them to perform better
• Conduct technical interviews
• Make relevant Process improvements
• Identifying Risks and ensure timely escalations
