About The Position

QUARTERSAWN Design Build is seeking a Senior Lead Carpenter to help deliver residential remodeling projects in older homes in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Projects range from $250,000 to $2 million. The role focuses on coordinating trade partners and carpentry staff, maintaining work quality, and creating an exceptional homeowner experience through clear, timely, and accurate communication. The position is approximately 25% office-based and 75% on project sites.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience running residential job sites.
• A college degree or trade school training.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Comfortable holding trade partners accountable for work quality, commitments, completion thoroughness, and cleanup.
• Professional, with good communication and strong planning skills.
• Comfortable with technology.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with older homes and remodeling.
• Knowledge of JobTread.

Responsibilities

• Manage trade partner schedules on assigned projects.
• Perform quality control of trade partner and carpentry staff work.
• Create an exceptional homeowner experience through clear, timely, and accurate communication.
• Manage time and goals for one to two carpenters.
• Work with project managers, designers, and carpenters to ensure internal goals and expectations are met.
