About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Layout Designer to support groups including Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Integration, Probe, and Assembly. The role proactively designs products that optimize manufacturing functions and help assure cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer happiness. The position contributes to advancing future memory generations in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with more than 2 years of experience, or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience.
• Coursework in CMOS Circuit Design and VLSI.
• Coursework that included crafting the physical layout of circuits.
• Knowledge and experience using Cadence Virtuoso.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated, hard-working team player who enjoys working with others.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of layout synthesis and place-and-route techniques.
• Experience with LVS and DRC tools such as Calibre.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to assist in layout floor planning, place and route.
• Standard cell construction and analog layout techniques.
• An innovative approach and openness to improving processes or products.

• Support Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Integration, Probe, and Assembly groups.
• Proactively design products that optimize manufacturing functions and support cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer happiness.
