Job Summary: Solutions Portfolio Master Governance Manager role will be focused on managing slotting and sourcing strategy for North America. Enclosure Solutions - Portfolio Master Governance Manager – Coordinate slotting optimization, Customer/Account scheduling priority, capacity reservation requirements and capacity expansion considerations for North American network and internal facilities. Up to date AMER portfolio view allows real time determination of build slot availability for enclosures.

Responsibilities

  • Following organizational policies and procedures and maintaining clear and direct line of communication within the organization to meet customer requirements.
  • Consult with dealers and internal business partners on the subject of sales and service support of product to “corporate account” customers.
  • Design processes for informing customers of rates, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Maintain a portfolio visualization tool showing the following: Current slotting plans for firm orders, Current slotting plans for high-probability projects, Currently secured manufacturing capacity – noting any associated limitations, Project opportunities by probability and with associated risks, Non – Project capacity hold requests, Available manufacturing capacity not currently secured.
  • Coordinate a weekly “key genset actions” discussion.
  • Estimate and monitor genset availability and high-level configuration for project opportunities
  • Monitor genset availability shifts potentially impacting firm build slotting
  • Accountable for TSS / Engineering collaboration verifying detailed generator BOM
  • Continuously monitor for impactful change order requests.
  • Continuously update or highlight the following in the visualization tool: Customer requested changes impacting firm build slotting, Cat Solutions driven changes impacting firm build slotting, Genset availability changes impacting firm build slotting, Genset availability for project opportunities.
  • Coordinate / Facilitate a weekly Portfolio review discussion with key stakeholders:
  • Determine portfolio level implications of any changes impacting planned build slotting.
  • Identify and assign necessary remediation.
  • Determine the optimal manufacturing location for each project opportunity and capacity hold request, potentially holding open several possible scenarios for consideration as other elements resolve.
  • Determine if additional manufacturing capacity reservations are warranted based on project opportunities or capacity hold requests visible to TSS (specifically not referencing the RFP).
  • Recommend key actions/assignments to ensure optimized sales and build slot utilization.
  • Based on the context, scenarios and pending actions, recommend an “availability statement” for stakeholder approval.
