About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Landscape Designer to lead high-end residential design-build projects with a strong focus on client engagement and closing work. This is not a pure design role. It’s a hybrid design + sales position responsible for generating and converting opportunities into sold projects. You will own the full lifecycle from initial client consultation through design, presentation, and close, helping drive revenue and build backlog for installation crews. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in front of clients, understands how to sell design concepts, and wants to be directly tied to project production and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in residential landscape design or design-build environments
  • Proven track record of selling and closing landscape or outdoor living projects (required)
  • Experience with high-end residential or estate-level projects
  • Proficiency in landscape design software with 3D modeling capabilities
  • Strong client-facing and presentation skills
  • Ability to own the full project lifecycle from concept through close
  • Comfortable being measured on revenue production and backlog generation
  • Must have residential design-build experience (commercial-only backgrounds will not be considered)

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners and estate clients to define project goals, vision, and budget
  • Develop landscape concepts, layouts, and detailed outdoor living designs
  • Create and present 3D models and visual presentations to communicate design intent
  • Lead client presentations and sales conversations, positioning design-build solutions
  • Close residential landscape projects typically ranging from $50K–$100K+
  • Generate consistent backlog for installation crews by converting opportunities into sold work
  • Manage multiple active client opportunities while maintaining responsiveness
  • Collaborate with field and installation teams to ensure designs align with execution
  • Contribute to improving design processes, client experience, and sales performance
