Senior Laboratory Assistant, Float
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position is eligible for a Float Premium. The position base is Marshfield, WI, and the employee will work in various locations based on need, working directly with patients to ensure quality care. Other locations include Colby-Abbotsford, Greenwood, Neillsville, Stratford, and Wisconsin Rapids. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment. Expected to train and onboard new employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required
- National phlebotomy certification through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required or registry eligible to take exam within 12 months of hire
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

- One year of laboratory related experience preferred
