About The Position

Givaudan is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager specializing in Beverage Ingredients. This role focuses on managing and growing accounts within the beverage wellness sector, leveraging botanical ingredients for health and wellbeing. The position involves developing new business opportunities, managing commercial projects, and ensuring Givaudan's visibility with key clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the beverage market, ingredient industry trends, and customer strategies, working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions and a positive customer experience. This is a remote role, preferably located on the West Coast.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, or customer relationship experience in the Beverage/Wellness industry.
  • Experience incorporating comprehensive knowledge and analysis in presentations.
  • Understanding of the ingredient industry, including consumer and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of customer strategies, programs, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity.
  • Experience in the ingredients business (B2B).
  • Track record in Beverage Wellness.
  • Network and contacts with actual and potential beverage customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts through top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities.
  • Scout, hunt, prospect, negotiate, and close deals.
  • Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning Givaudan as a preferred supplier.
  • Ensure participation in RFPs, briefs, and inclusion on core supplier lists.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through innovation, collaboration, and service.
  • Understand the beverage market, including trends, functional claims, and the use of botanicals.
  • Act as a partner to clients, helping them navigate between supplements and beverages.
  • Lead and influence strategic account planning.
  • Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts.
  • Develop a thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning strength and weaknesses, and competitive data.
  • Manage the brief pipeline to achieve growth plans.
  • Master Givaudan's ingredients, including their technicalities, origin, and strengths.
  • Understand competitors.
  • Collaborate with flavor colleagues to effectively engage clients.
  • Utilize flavors as a means to promote ingredients without compromising ingredient expertise.
