About The Position

Are you a seasoned JEE developer ready to make a real impact? Join our dynamic team to design and build web service and file based interface services that connect diverse enterprise systems to a centralized financial solution as part of a large scale transformation and modernization effort for a large U.S. Federal agency. You'll take on mission critical integration work including data transformation and enrichment, crosswalking, transaction/data synchronization across multiple systems, and the reliable sequencing and processing of high volume financial data. We build and deploy containerized Java services on OpenShift using Spring Boot and Apache Camel, and you'll collaborate closely with financial SMEs and seasoned engineers with deep federal financial integration experience. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Java application development.
  • Experience with Java technologies and open source tooling.
  • Experience with multithreading.
  • Experience with Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with SOAP/RESTful web service technologies and related security.
  • Proficient with Git.
  • Proficient with Maven and POM structure.
  • Proficient with Oracle (JDBC or equivalent, SQL).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work with and advise client leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building integrations.
  • Experience building reusable frameworks.
  • Experience securing data both in transit and at rest (data encryption, certs, TLS, HTTPS).
  • Experience with Docker and containerization.
  • Experience with Java version migrations (specifically to Jakarta EE).
  • Familiarity with Red Hat EAP.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with the federal financial domain and/or federal financial ERP solutions.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Jenkins pipeline creation/maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, testing and maintaining interface software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
  • Working closely with subject matter experts to interpret requirements and translate to software solutions.
  • Participate in technical meetings with client technical specialists and stakeholders.
  • Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution.
  • Participate in the Agile process.
  • Support the maintenance of interface design and interface control documents or other applicable documentation.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on the team.
