About The Position

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. We are seeking a Senior Field Service Specialist to join our team. In this role you will perform depot level inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in support of the Javelin missile Command Launch Unit (CLU) and training devices (TD). Javelin is a highly advanced, man‑portable anti‑tank guided munition designed to be carried and launched by a single operator. Developed by the Javelin Joint Venture—a partnership between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin—the system delivers unmatched capability to U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and international forces worldwide. Javelin provides a medium‑range, fire‑and‑forget missile solution capable of defeating a wide range of threats, including armored vehicles, bunkers, and fortified positions. Its Command Launch Unit (CLU) doubles as a surveillance sight, enabling operators to detect and engage targets day or night, in all weather conditions. The system can be deployed from multiple platforms and has demonstrated successful operation from remote launchers mounted on unmanned ground vehicles. Javelin has been combat-proven in more than 5,000 engagements across Afghanistan and Iraq and is planned to remain in service through at least 2050.
