About The Position

At Capgemini, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that drive business value and enhance client experiences. You will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable, high-quality solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java technologies, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have experience building enterprise-scale frameworks, APIs, and event-driven solutions while driving engineering standards and platform capabilities across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).
  • Proven experience building shared frameworks, platform services, and reusable enterprise components, beyond traditional application development.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and implementing OpenAPI specifications.
  • Experience building and supporting event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including: Resilience engineering, Retry mechanisms, Circuit breaker implementation, Fault tolerance and high availability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including z/OS, Mainframe environments, CIS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in high-volume production environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern security practices, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Secrets management.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies: Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
